Your Privacy Rights

Introduction

CareerCraft, Inc (“CareerCraft” or “we” or “us”) has created this Privacy Policy in order to disclose its use of consumer data collected about you. This version of the Privacy Policy is effective as of the later of (i) July 12, 2022 (“Posting Date”), or (ii) for those who received a prior version of this Privacy Policy, thirty days after the Posting Date. The following discloses CareerCraft’s information gathering and dissemination practices for its applications and website.

This privacy policy relates to our website, technology platforms, and all services provided by CareerCraft, Inc.

Information Collected and Received

CareerCraft may collect or receive information about each person who registers with the CareerCraft website and/or applications including, but not limited to, user name, password, first and last name, email address, street address, gender, occupation, and interests. CareerCraft also collects information on the pages you access and other information you may volunteer, such as survey information. CareerCraft may also collect user location information, as further described in the “Global Positioning System” paragraph below.

Uses of Information

WE WILL NEVER SELL YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, OR ANY OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION, TO ANY THIRD PARTY WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. EVER.

Except as described in this section, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party without notifying you of our intent to share the information and giving you an opportunity to prevent your information from being shared.

From time to time, we may partner with companies based on the interests of our users. These partner companies will never see your email address or any other information that could identify you or be used to contact you directly.

Any exceptions to this policy of sharing your name, address or email address with a partner company will be done only with your permission.

CareerCraft reserves the right to disclose information when required by law.

We occasionally use other companies to perform services necessary to our operations. In the course of providing these services, those companies may have access to information obtained by CareerCraft. By contractual agreement, those companies must treat your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, we will not be liable for any damages that may result from the misuse of your personal information by these companies. CareerCraft may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with CareerCraft’s server and to administer CareerCraft’s website. Your IP address may also be used to help identify you and your online profile and to gather broad demographic information.

The CareerCraft site registration form requires users to give CareerCraft contact information (such as your name and email address) and demographic information (such as your zip code, age, or income level). CareerCraft uses your contact information from the registration form to send you information about CareerCraft and promotional material from some of CareerCraft’s partners. Your contact information may also be used to contact you when necessary. CareerCraft may use demographic and/or profile data to tailor your experience on the CareerCraft website and/or applications, show you content that CareerCraft thinks you may be interested in, and display content according to your preferences. The demographic and profile data will be shared with third parties ONLY on an aggregate basis with no personally identifiable information. Furthermore, CareerCraft shall have the right to retain records of all data pertaining to use of the website and applications including, but not limited to, usage, activity logs, and click-throughs. CareerCraft may disclose such data to third parties provided it is grouped with other CareerCraft user’s data and is presented in an aggregate form.

We may also disclose, on an anonymous basis, statements made by our users.

The following information section specifically concerning data collection and usage by the CareerCraft Technology Platforms supplements the foregoing disclosures:

Our CareerCraft Technology Platforms track student CCMR status, Outcomes Bonus potential as well as requirements for the ECHS and P-TECH Outcome Based Measures.  The platforms align to Texas accountability and designation standards, which allow stakeholders to access and evaluate their Student’s Data.  The platform permits the administrative staff to view the projected data as well. 

CCMR/ECHS/P-TECH/CTE metrics may include the following identifiable data regarding the collection of student data such as Student name, School Name, Grade level, SAT/ACT scores, certifications, student course grades, student course data, student course credits, and college interest.

CCMR/ECHS/P-TECH/CTE metrics by grade level and graduation year, Projected Score, and Outcome Bonus are derived for internal use and will be at the aggregated or de-identified level as it relates to any Student PI.  

The School District  has the right to review, have deleted and/or refuse to permit further collection or use of the student’s information by terminating the contract to use the technology platforms. 

The technology platforms collect user name, email address and passwords for users of the service. The information is used for accessing the platform and other purposes that may be described to users from time to time. 

Student data is protected as sensitive data and held in confidence in accordance with applicable laws. Student data is used for educational purposes only at the direction of the school and aligned to accountability requirements from the State of Texas. CareerCraft, Inc and its operators do not review, retain or use or collect student data for any other purpose than the purpose stated for our platforms or as described herein. Each technology platform has a secure exchange site where data can be uploaded and shared with CareerCraft for operation purposes only. Student data should never be transmitted by you via email or any other unsecure means. We may share data with our trusted third party partners whose services are required for us to perform. These trusted third parties include server hosting providers, web services for file storage, error monitoring, and student information systems such as Ascender, Skyward and eSchoolPlus, and we may add additional trusted third parties from time to time in our discretion.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone who we know to be under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 18, you should use this website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian and should not submit any personal information to us. If we discover that a person under the age of 13 has provided us with any personal information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such person’s personal information from all CareerCraft systems.

Global Positioning System

Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking technology may need to be enabled in CareerCraft products and services in order to determine the location (latitude and longitude) of users of the CareerCraft products and services. This information is transmitted to CareerCraft, CareerCraft’s users, and temporarily stored by CareerCraft. CareerCraft does not provide this information to any other third party. This information is used in conjunction with CareerCraft’s applications.

Security

CareerCraft uses industry-standard technologies when transferring and receiving data exchanged between CareerCraft and other companies to help ensure its security. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under CareerCraft’s control. CareerCraft’s servers are backed up regularly and protected by security systems.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. The CareerCraft site uses cookies to keep track of your session, shopping cart, and advertising delivery. CareerCraft may also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests and to save your password. CareerCraft may use an outside ad company to display ads on the CareerCraft site. These ads may also contain cookies. While CareerCraft uses cookies in other parts of its web site, cookies received with banner ads are collected by CareerCraft’s ad company and CareerCraft does not have access to this information.

We may use standard Internet technology, such as web beacons and other similar technologies, to track your use on our sites and software. We also may include web beacons in promotional e- mail messages or newsletters to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. The information we obtain in this manner enables us to customize the services we offer our users to deliver targeted advertisements and to measure the overall effectiveness of our online advertising, content, programming or other activities.

We may allow third parties, including our authorized service providers, advertising companies, and ad networks, to display advertisements on our site and/or software. CareerCraft and these companies may use tracking technologies, such as cookies, to collect information about users who view or interact with these advertisements and connect to the CareerCraft properties and/or software. Our properties do not provide any personal information to these third parties. This information allows CareerCraft and these companies to deliver targeted advertisements and gauge their effectiveness.

Do Not Track Requests.

Your web browser may have a setting that allows you to automatically send a “Do Not Track” message to the websites you visit. CareerCraft does not currently have technology to respond to such requests.

CareerCraft may create links to other websites. CareerCraft will make a reasonable effort to link only to sites that meet similar standards for maintaining each individual’s right to privacy. However, many other sites that are not associated or authorized by CareerCraft may have links leading to our site. CareerCraft cannot control these links and CareerCraft is not responsible for any content appearing on these sites.

Amendments

CareerCraft may amend this policy at any time. If CareerCraft is going to use personally identifiable information collected through the CareerCraft site in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection, CareerCraft will notify customers/partners/users via email and/or by posting a notice on the CareerCraft site for thirty (30) days prior to such use. This Privacy Policy may not be otherwise amended except in a writing that specifically refers to this Privacy Policy and is physically signed by both parties.

 In the event of a change to our organizations such that all or a portion of CareerCraft, Inc or its assets are acquired by or merged with a third-party, or in any other situation where personal information that we have collected from users would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by that third-party, this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your information, and any acquirer would only be able to handle your personal information as per this policy (unless you give consent to a new policy). We will provide you with notice of an acquisition within thirty (30) days following the completion of such a transaction, by posting on our homepage and by email to your email address that you provided to us. If you do not consent to the use of your personal information by such a successor company, subject to applicable law, you may request its deletion from the company.

In the unlikely event that CareerCraft, Inc goes out of business, or files for bankruptcy, we will take steps to protect your personal information from uses inconsistent with this privacy policy..

This Privacy Policy inures to the benefit of successors and assigns of CareerCraft.

Delete an Account

You can request your account deletion by visiting your account setting, or simply contacting us as described in the contact information section below.  Please note that some content will not be deleted given various compliance and recordkeeping obligations schools have. CareerCraft Retention Policy

We keep personal information as necessary for educational purposes and legal obligations, or to provide the Service for which we receive or collect the student personal information, and in accordance with our contractual obligations and internal data retention policy. In addition, we take steps to only keep student personal information for as long as the account is active, unless we are required by law to retain it, or need it to protect the safety of our users. Note that some content may be kept after an account is deleted for school legal compliance reasons (e.g. maintenance of “education records” under FERPA or “student records” under various state student privacy laws)

Data Breach

If  CareerCraft, Inc becomes aware of a systems security breach by an unauthorized party or that any user data was used for an unauthorized purpose, we will comply with relevant state and other applicable data breach laws. We will notify users of any breach resulting in unauthorized release of their data  in accordance with applicable laws, and to the extent practicable without unreasonable delay. The notification will include: date of the breach, the types of information that were subject to the breach, general description of what occurred, and steps CareerCraft, Inc is taking to address the breach.

Opt-Out

The CareerCraft site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from CareerCraft, except transactional correspondence.
