Frequently asked questions
About CareerCraft
What is CareerCraft?
CareerCraft is an education software company headquartered in Austin, Texas. We provide software and consulting services to Texas public school districts and charter schools.
Who does CareerCraft work with?
CareerCraft works with Texas public school districts and charter schools. Our main software users are district- and campus-level administrators, counselors, and teachers, while our consulting clients are primarily district- and campus-level administrators.
CareerCraft software is licensed at the school district level because the data we track is tied to school district numbers rather than individual campus numbers.
What student information systems does CareerCraft work with?
CareerCraft works with school districts using all major student information systems in Texas. The student information system (SIS) your school district uses does not limit your ability to work with CareerCraft.
Software Pricing & Getting Started
How much is the CareerCraft software and what does a license include?
CareerCraft software pricing includes a base fee and a per-student fee. Contact us for pricing specific to your school district.
The base product includes CCMR Data Center + CTE Monitor, as well as client webinars, Help Center resources, and in-platform chat support.
P-TECH Monitor and ECHS Monitor can be purchased as add-on products and require CCMR Data Center + CTE Monitor as the base product.
Labor Market Information (LMI)/CTE Audit is priced separately.
Professional development and consulting services are also available for an additional fee.
How long does the purchasing and onboarding process take?
Purchasing can be completed as quickly as a purchase order is approved by your school district. Depending on the school district’s purchasing requirements and approval process, this typically takes anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks.
Onboarding can be completed in as little as one day. Depending on your team’s availability and needs, it may take up to two weeks. We work with each school district to make the process as simple and flexible as possible.

CareerCraft primarily serves Texas public school districts and charter schools. Inquiries from organizations outside those groups may not receive a response because the team receives a high volume of unrelated and spam inquiries.
Working With Education Service Centers
Does CareerCraft pay out sales commissions or provide revenue sharing to Education Service Centers (ESCs)?
No. We believe the relationship between ESCs and school districts is built on trust, and we feel that financial incentives tied to vendor recommendations can undermine that trust. School districts depend on ESCs for guidance and support, and they should never have to question whether a recommendation is based on what’s best for their school district or on a financial benefit to the ESC. If an ESC recommends CareerCraft, we want school districts to know it is because the ESC genuinely believes our software can help them, not because the ESC or its staff will make money from their purchase. We believe protecting that trust is far more valuable than any financial arrangement.
Does CareerCraft offer a franchise model to Education Service Centers?
No. We believe the most efficient and cost-effective way to support school districts, including Shared Services Arrangement (SSA) members, is for CareerCraft to provide support directly—from basic Tier 1 questions to complex, district-specific issues. This approach ensures consistent product expertise and responsive support without placing additional training and support responsibilities on ESC staff. It also helps us keep our software affordable for school districts.
Built around Texas school district realities
From SIS flexibility and district-level licensing to adaptable onboarding, CareerCraft works with the structures and timelines Texas public education teams already manage.
“We completed onboarding in just a week, and the CareerCraft support team is always quick to help.”
“I love how the software is user-friendly, so much so that I even show it to kids in scheduling and graduation meetings.”
